Genesis 13:10-12

¹⁰ Lot looked up and saw the whole region around the Jordan River as you come to Zoar.^[a] (Before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, it was well watered everywhere, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt.) ¹¹ So Lot chose the region around the Jordan for himself. Lot headed out toward the east, and they separated from each other. ¹² Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived among the cities of the region around the Jordan and moved his tent close to Sodom.
